Frederick County, you did it! On April 3, 2026, the Frederick County Board of Elections assessed that the Referendum Petition is sufficient to be placed on the ballot for a public vote. The BOE verified 21,029 signatures on a legal requirement of 15,611. On April 10 and 13, five lawsuits were filed challenging the referendum effort and the Board of Elections' decision.
